Intro to Harry Potter

I want to read all of the Harry Potter books to my kids and after each book, watch the movie together. I was so excited about this! A great way to spend time together and introduce my kids to a magical world. Last night we all piled on the couch with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Within in 30 seconds Stella was “touching” Jack. Fight ensued. Then Stella suggested we just skip straight to the movie. When I said no, she got bored and left to go play dolls. Then Max disappeared and came back with a guinea pig in tow. Jack was trying to be good and listen, but he is easily distracted.
I yelled. 2 out 3 kids cried.
We did make it through Chapter 1 though. And dammit, tonight those kids are hearing chapter 2.
