Conversations With My Spawn: After School Activities
Jack played his first football game last night. The team did a pretty good job, but they ended up losing. In the car on the way home, the kids and I had a conversation about sports and after school activities.
Me: Jack, did you have fun? Do you like playing football.
Jack: Yes
Me: Do you like playing football or baseball better?
Jack: Baseball, because it isn’t as much hard work. Actually my favorite thing has been t-ball. Maybe I’ll play that again next year.
I am going to have the only varsity t-ball player. Do they have college scholarships for that?
Me: Max, would you like to play basketball?
Max: Nooooo, I don’t want to play anything.
Me: I got the paperwork to sign you up for Cub Scouts. Does that sound fun?
Max: Nooooo
Jack: Max, cub scouts would be fun. You can shoot bow and arrows.
Max: Nooooo, then I would have to go camping too. I just want to lay on the couch.
Stella: Max, laying on the couch is boring. I’m going to be a girl scout and a cheerleader and play soccer and do Taekwondo.
Max: I want to go to bed. What time is it? I’m going to sleep on the floor as soon as I get home. I won’t be able to make it to my bed.
Max did make it to his bed. Barely.

Max won’t be as expensive as the rest of the Adams’ kids…sleeping is a free activity ☺
